I don't know why this is, but lots of parents around the world completely dispise gaming. Whether it's really hardcore gaming or just light gaming.
Recently I researched as to why this is and the internet came to no avail. And now im going to explain my thoughts on it
From my perspective, parents hate gaming because it can take over their kids social and academic lives. I find this to be extremely false. Kids don't play video games to spite their parents and do bad in school. Kids just play video games because it is, in my opinion, one of the most fun things to do whether after school or on the weekend. You can spend hours upon hours of playing video games and not realise how long you are playing because you are having so much fun. Personally, I have experiences where I was playing video games with my friends on a weekday and little did I know we played until midnight and the next day of school was really tiring. But the thing is I still don't regret staying up that late because it was just so much fun.
